Couples Counseling/Infidelity
Maintaining a fulfilling and loving relationship can be a challenge in today’s fast paced environment. Equally, the shock of discovering that the person you love has “cheated” can be one of the most devastating experiences in an individual’s life. Though it can feel as if it is the end of the relationship, through therapy, couples can begin to safely explore core issues in order to establish new ways of being together, while working to restore trust, love and sexuality.

Depression and Anxiety
Depression and anxiety are not just experiences that a person can recover from by simply 'snapping out of it.' More than just a 'state of mind,' both depression and anxiety can be sources of real pain, isolation and loneliness - yet each can affect individuals differently. I approach these areas with great sensitivity and compassion, while supporting you in achieving a more peaceful and pleasurable life.

Domestic Violence
The shame attached to domestic violence can be devastating. Sometimes it can be deadly. Many women (and men) suffer in silence while the physical, verbal, emotional and/or sexual battering continues. When you experience domestic violence, it can feel like no matter what you think, say or do - you are wrong. It is the cause of 3,000 deaths in women each year, and one out of every four emergency room visits for women. Domestic violence happens regardless of race, economic status, education or religion. It is one of the most common reasons for divorce. Domestic violence negatively affects children through nightmares, stomach problems, attention deficit disorders, and depression. If you are a person feeling trapped in an abusive relationship, please reach out for help - your life and well being are of great value and worth. There is hope.

Christian and Spiritual Crisis
Living in the 21rst century provides a great deal of temptation and distraction. It can be difficult at times to connect to God and to our spiritual gifts and talents. Many times packed schedules, disappointments and burnout can interfere with this important aspect of our lives. Guilt, shame, resentment and confusion are often at the root of our spiritual challenges. I believe that the integration of mind, body and soul through prayer, connection to others, meditation, visualization, and creative imagery are essential to living a more joyful and balanced life.

Internet Pornography Addiction
Internet pornography addiction has become one of the fastest growing addictions in this country. As a result many men report an increasing pre-occupation with “surfing the web” for porn which sometimes escalates into strip clubs, prostitution, massage parlors, adult bookstores, etc. Men talk about feeling “out of control” or “unable to stop.” As time invested in on-line pornography activities increase, the result can wreak havoc on the man’s life-often risking relationships, work ethics, finances, spirituality and legal issues. This is my primary area of focus and I look forward to working with you step-by-step to assist you in breaking the hold of pornography and achieving healthier sexuality and a more balanced life.

If you are the spouse or significant other of a person who is addicted to pornography (and/or other behaviors as described above), discovering your loved ones behavior often leads to depression, rage, confusion, loneliness, poor self image, overeating or substance abuse, sexual withdrawal and/or infidelity. Working with you in understanding the roots of your emotional pain while utilizing specific tools to heal are an important part of restoring your heart and your life.

Career Counseling
Have your ever felt like you woke up one morning, looked in the mirror and wondered who you were? Ever feel like you keep working longer days, juggling more assignments without the recognition and income you deserve? Ever feel like you hate your job and want to do something else but are trapped by financial obligations? Or maybe you feel like you are spinning your wheels trying to make it all work for your family, your clients, your boss and everyone but you. Are you having difficulty communicating with others, managing stress and anger on the job, or advocating for yourself in advancing in your career. Some days you may just want to throw in the towel and run away. Perhaps it is time to step out and get support in order to create a work environment and career that feels exciting and rewarding.
